Why yes there is.  As a matter of  fact, these warmer climates seem to
breed quite a few male belly dancers, each with their own unique style.
You can find many modern male belly dancers all over the US, with
concentrations in California and now in Florida & Puerto
Rico...hmmm...must be the Latin drum beats.

Whether they specialize in American style cabaret, Tribal style dance or
ethnic/folk dances of the Mid East, North African and Egypt, these men
perform with as much passion and finesse as any female belly dancer
you have ever seen.  And what many people forget, in these countries it
is often the men who are the teachers and choreographers for large
groups of female dancers.  Here in America that tends to shift, for
example,
Virginia was one of the only instructors that would take a man
on as a student.  She had studied under several other famous male
dancers/teachers and
Genie was lucky to have had the opportunity,
through her assistance, to study with Yousry Sharif and Amir Thaleb,
taking classes with John Compton, Jim Boz, Mamoud Reda, Kamaal and
Arish Lamm.
