Genie is one of  the best kept
Eastern dance community.  A
Miami native, Genie had absolutely
no dance experience before 2002,
spending most of his time working
in the film industry.  Since then, he
has been an avid belly dance
student, studying with some of the
best male and female dancers,
teachers and choreographers
available including his mentor
Virginia, Yousry Sharif, Amir
Thaleb, Mamoud Reda, Mohamed
Shahin, Arish Lam, Jim Boz, and
Karim Nagi.  He has been studying
Tahtib, an Egyptian stick fighting
martial art/dance form as well as
various styles of Chinese martial
arts focusing on Kung fu and Tai
Chi forms which he incorporates
into his dance.

Genie is known for his quick wit
and the ability to improvise in any
situation.  Besides his oriental
dance, he performs fire fusion and
tribal fusion, and has even
performed in a few ballets with the
Superior Performing Arts Dance
Center!  He can often be found
lending a hand at
Belly Motions,
Videotaping along side his wife
Adeela at shows, hanging lights, or
helping backstage. He has even
tried drumming....
