Q. Why do videos go out of focus or look fuzzy when stage lighting
is predominately red?

A.  Most cameras focus using infrared sensors...they have difficlty reading distance in
red light.  Full manual focus is needed in these situations.

Q. Can I use any music for my performance if it is being videotaped?

A. Can you use anyones choreography for you live performance?  Of course not!!!
Always pick a pece of music that you can get permission for...many musicians will
gladly let you use their songs if you ask.  It is always good to let them know that the
video of the performance might be sold.  Most are happy that you asked and may only
want a small fee, from either you or the producer, or are happy with credit and a link
for promotion on your website, and a copy of the final product.

Q. Why do some discs not play in all players?

This is for many reasons...
1. The newer formats are not recognized in older machines.  It might be time to step
into the 21st century...

2.  Paper labels have a tendency to drag and will not play on all devices.  Check to see
if the label is made of paper, thin film or printed.   Try to see if you can a copy made
without a label or have the video transfered to an unlabled disc.

3. While the Americas and several other areas of the world use NTSC, some have
players that recognize PAL format.  If you buy a DVD from Egypt, It may not play in
your DVD player, but it might in the computer.  Some instructional DVDs, especially
those from China, are in CDV format and are meant to play on the computer only.
Always try your disc on multiple machines before you give up and have to send it back!
