I especially loved Arish Lam at Spirit
of the Tribes 5!  What a treat this
guy was, and yes, I said guy!  He did
a double veil routine with
21, count them, 21 spins.    His
dance was wonderful, masculine, and
he has mastered shimmies/tremors.  
The effect on the male anatomy is not
something you see everyday and it
was a real treat.

Arish Lam is an internationally renowned
instructor recognized for his amazing ability
to fuse Latin rhythms with Belly Dance.

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico,  he began
his journey into the world of oriental dancing
in 1998 with Leyla Zahar.   Since then, he
has traveled to Egypt to further his training
with numerous master teachers.
It is his unique and dramatic style that sets
him aside from the mainstream,  with his mix
of musical rhythms, fusion of dance styles,
spectacular costuming and drama to create
a special type of dance experience. Arish is
the recipient of various awards and has
performed and served as judge in various
competitions in the US, Europe and Asia.  

Both actor and performer, Arish Lam is
President of the "Temple of Dance School"
in Puerto Rico and of the "Miracula
Troupe".  He is one of the favorites at  Spirit
of the Tribes and Mediterranean Echoes
just to name a few, where he captivates the
audience with the power of his movements
and spell bounding presence.

Arish travels all over the United States
teaching and performing,  and has been
featured in South Florida at the Spirit of the
Tribes and Kamlieh's 2008 Breast Cancer
Pink Ribbon Event and Gala Show.
